Ticking off the to do list

The Nicoll family moved into their home over five years ago knowing it was in solid but original condition! After a long time saving and completing a few essentials, such as new fencing and insulation, it was finally time to tackle the exterior.

They were keen to go with something classic enhancing the Californian bungalow style while also achieving a modern clean finish. Initially the thought was to go for grey tones. After many hours driving around suburbs of the same era theirs to get inspiration, they noticed how ‘grey’ Hastings was. It felt like every other freshly painted house was grey.

So grey was off the colour list and they looked at other options, finally choosing Resene Bel Air. This pale green gives a warmer look than traditional greys and complements the Windsor Grey roof. The Resene Alabaster trim completes the fresh clean look they were after.

Now with the exterior done, the next job on the list is the garden!
