Unexpected move

After building a new home and fully decorating it, the Wraight family had no intention of moving again. However things change and they found themselves on the move again, building a new farmstyle/villa home on a 1.5 acre hilly property on the outskirts of Blenheim.

The exterior is pine weatherboard and is painted in Resene Kensington Grey with Resene Half Rice Cake trim and verandas. The scrolls under the soffit line are painted in Grey Friars.

The interior is finished in mainly soft colour tones.

The ceilings and doors are all painted in Resene Quarter Rice Cake, as are all the kitchen units. For a stark contrast the scullery and laundry units are painted in Resene Blackjack with Resene Quarter Rice Cake walls. The kitchen, dining walls are painted in the soft tone of Resene Emerge, with the weatherboard feature wall behind the fire done in Resene Quarter Rice Cake. The family room and office are also Resene Quarter Rice Cake walls with a band of wallpaper above picture rail height. The wallpaper was also purchased from the Blenheim Resene ColorShop.

The formal lounge, hallway and main bathroom are all painted in Resene Blanc. The ensuites are both painted in Resene Quarter Rice Cake.

Three of the bedrooms have a dado moulding with Resene Quarter Rice Cake below. Stronger colour was added to the top two thirds of the wall as it shows off the lovely colonial scotia. Bedroom one has Resene Truffle above the moulding, bedroom three has Resene Brandy Rose (which I love) and bedroom four has Resene Linen.

Bedroom two has its own unique twist using wallpaper panels. The woodwork is painted using Resene Quarter Rice Cake with a French blue toned wallpaper purchased from the local Resene ColorShop in the panels.

The Wraight family has enjoyed putting together the colourings, flooring and curtains.
