Haven of tranquillity

It is exactly what Suzanne was after; a 1960s simple Kiwi bach with a few features that really appealed to her quirky sense of style. The walls were already painted a simple cream colour which needed to be changed.

Suzanne teaches New Entrants at one of the schools on the peninsula so colour is a huge, and in fact, essential part of her everyday life. Suzanne’s classroom is a sight to behold colour wise so she knew she had to bring an element of superb colour to her house as well.

With a busy job, Suzanne feels so lucky to be able to come home to such a haven of tranquillity. From her deck she looks over the top of the large bush section which leads down to the sea.

Suzanne decided to bring the colour of the bush inside by using Resene Pacifika, first using it on one wall, then a couple of months later another, then another! The true harmony of indoor and outdoor environments is captured in many little spots inside and outside the house.

Suzanne says “I believe that one should choose colours and designs to make one’s soul sing, and I can truly say that this colour does.”
