Being inspired by the existing

Having previously done up an old dated 1920s bathroom, which cost over $10,000, only a fraction of that budget was available for this bathroom makeover. This 1970s bathroom had a pink bath and hand basin that were still in good condition. The floor was vinyl and the cupboards were painted in grey. Tracey decided to match the colour of the bath and hand basin to the joinery, using Resene Careys Pink, and make the retro bathroom a feature.

The kitchen was dark blue and sky blue, and have been half renovated, with half of a new bench and half of the old one. It had to go! With orange in the dining room, Tracey looked for a contrasting green, using Resene Wasabi and teamed it with Resene Double Blanc. The green is calming, soothing and inspiring, bringing the outdoors in. She added orange tiles to connect the kitchen back to the orange of the lounge.
