Colours complementing history

Jennie's house is a renovated railway cottage built in 1928, located in an area that is believed to have the largest number of traditional railway cottages in New Zealand.

Her laundry features the original panelling on the wall and ceiling and many features in keeping of the era of the home such as traditional native timber flooring and period bakelite light switches mounted on wooden back plates. Jennie has used Resene Summer Green, Resene Black White and Resene Coconut Cream.

Looking through from the laundry into the main house she has continued with the Resene Summer Green and painted the back of the front door in the same colour.
