Wall goes woodgrained

Marina decided to freshen up their living space by replacing the red curved wall with a fresh wood grain effect wall instead! They purchased a wood-graining tool set from the States and read up on how to do this technique on the Resene website.

Resene Riptide and Resene Sea Fog were chosen as the two colours to create this look, as well as Resene Paint Effects Medium. Resene Riptide was chosen to complement a piece of artwork that hangs on a nearby wall.

They're loving how much lighter and brighter their family room/dining room has become just by changing one wall colour, and feel this beachy-boho style paint effect suits them and their home well.

They have also extended their wall creativity to a bedroom makeover, with a colour feature bedroom using Resene Windsor, a contrast to the rest of the home that is largely painted in light and bright colours.
