A timeless colour choice

Lounge renovation

Glennys and Kevin bought this 1945 Stucco home three years ago. It was a real do-up as it had been a rental for the last 20 years.

The grounds were very overgrown which made the interior very dark. They spent six months doing the interior, including removing the wall between the kitchen and dining rooms, French doors in the kitchen open it to the deck. They changed the open fire in the lounge to a gas fire and upgraded to a new bathroom and kitchen.

Glennys wanted to use a warm fresh colour on the walls, which they could use throughout the house to make the house look bigger. She also wanted to use a colour that reflected the age of the house. Resene Ash is an older Resene colour that has endured over the years. Glennys loves the colour as it changes colour with the other colours you introduce to each room. This is complemented by Resene Half Black White on ceilings and the window and fire surrounds.

Thanks to Glennys and Kevin.
