After twenty years of enjoying their holiday home at the seaside village, it was time to extend it.
Jocelyn wanted to create a new kitchen and dining area that was light, that flowed through to the living area, that was an inviting space for friends and family to gather and, importantly, an area which captured the sea views.
The kitchen has a bar serving area where friends can mingle and chat while they prepare food. Large bi-fold windows allow magnificent sea views while dining and bring the outside in when open. A raised floor, to draw a line between the living room and the new kitchen and dining, creates a feeling of a niche area.
But it is the colour scheme of Resene Rice Cake, Resene Triple Rice Cake and Resene Licorice that has blended it all together, providing a feeling of space and light. Jocelyn worked with the Resene staff at the Oamaru Resene ColorShop who helped to clarify her paint ideas to achieve this overall effect. Jocelyn simply loves the dècor.
