Confident with colour

Chris and Lynn’s family of four waited three years for repairs to be made to their home. When they got the word that the repairs would be started and the entire exterior and interior would need repainting, Lynn immersed herself in Resene EzyPaint virtual painting software and numerous Resene ColorShop visits to get samples and testpots. By the time the builders turned up all the decisions were made and they were very impressed with Lynn’s folder of colours!

Lynn told the children they could design their own rooms. Her daughter spent ages on Resene EzyPaint trying out different ideas, bearing in mind it would be in place over her teenage years. She chose Resene Centre Stage and Resene Seagull with a border of Rasch Border 478518 from Resene.

Their son simply chose Resene Sports Star, because he’s sports mad! He couldn’t be persuaded to go through all the colour charts to actually look at different shades (that perhaps weren’t quite so bright); he could not be swayed.

In the kitchen, the walls are painted in Resene Eighth Napa with a splashback in Resene Pacifika, Resene Napa and Resene Tia Maria. Resene Pacifika also extends into the dining room where it is joined by Resene Tia Maria, which also extends into the lounge.

The other bedrooms are equally bold, with Resene Shiraz in the master bedroom and Resene Merlot in the spare bedroom.

The entrance is soothing in Resene Tax Break and Resene Periglacial Blue. The Resene Periglacial Blue is also used in the bathroom.

Outside, this home is finished in Resene Tsunami and the finishing touches of Resene Rhino on doors and windowsills and Resene Sea Fog on door frames and window frames are due to be completed soon.

With a collection of bold colours, this family love the outcome in every room!
