Previously they owned older villa type houses and had always prided themselves on putting their statement on the property by the means of colours.

Sadly a health issue meant her husband had to leave work, but he was still well enough to paint.

Louise found a seventies wallpaper for the lounge and kitchen and paired it with Resene Half Kumutoto - it looks amazing.

Then on to the bathroom… Louise wanted a warm colour and 70s inspiration led to orange – Resene Smoke Tree. Louise loves it!

Down the hall is Resene Doeskin. Then onto her son’s room with Resene wallpaper teamed with Resene Steel Grey.

Her daughter found an amazing painting and that was the inspiration for her room finished in colours Resene Sassy and Resene French Pass.

Next was the master bedroom - Louise knew she wanted a dark colour as the room is light and airy and could handle some depth. Louise looked for a shade of blue because the room is really warm and sunny; she needed to cool it down and yet keep it moody and romantic. Resene Half Stonehenge and Resene Baltic Sea were the perfect pairing.

Outside the home is Resene Half Masala with a pop of colour of Resene Pohutukawa on the front door.

When choosing her colours Louise used her local Resene ColorShop library with A4 swatches so she could see how the colours would work together on a larger scale.
