Punches of colourOlivia and Shaun recently purchased their first home. Having a tight budget they thought painting would be the most effective and affordable way to transform their out of date 1940s home. The aim was to create a clean, bright space where you'd want to sit and enjoy the morning sun, while still preserving the original character and era of the home. They chose the colour Resene Rice Cake for the walls, ceiling and doors. This was the perfect colour to enlarge the room and give it a more spacious feel. Resene French Pass on the cupboards added personality and completed the fundamentals of the room. This alone had already made such a difference. Revamping the existing dining chairs with Resene Pirate and Resene Fruit Salad added a punch of colour and was a great way of tying together the florals, stripes, spots and bright colours from their assortment of kitchen essentials, which work well being out on display. The final touches included the cutlery holder in Resene Optimist blue, the new addition on the table and the Resene Paris Daisy feature shelving unit, the perfect way to finish their bright and inviting kitchen.
