No restrictionsThe Robbie family bought a large piece of land on a steep hillside several years back. Site excavation started one year ago so they were very excited to finally be able to move in. Last time Lindsay had a whole house to paint she was afraid to use colour. This time she felt no such restriction. Making decisions was scary, but they are delighted with the result. Outside Resene Biscotti is used on the random cedar with Resene Leather on the garage door and other feature areas. Inside Resene Orchid White is used through the passage, dining room and one bedroom and for window facings throughout. The walls and ceilings of the guest bedroom are in Resene Pale Leaf. Moving into the blue palette, Resene Awash features in the main bedroom with white door features and Resene Kumutoto on the entrance tongue and groove. The kitchen cabinetry is finished in Resene Buttermilk, which is also used as the base colour for the distressed look on the pantry shelves, cupboard, boxed in rangehood and trims. To complete the interior, Resene Double Biscotti adorns the walls of the lounge. The distressed work in the kitchen and on the fireplace was completed by Lindsay's brother who is a builder. The chandelier was bought by her husband and his first wife on their honeymoon 34 years ago. She died some time ago and it has been in a box for all that time so it's lovely that it now has a place in their home. The entranceway colour was chosen to match it.
