Colour lover

The Morris family home was built in the 60s. As an artist who loves colour, Helen couldn't resist a striking colour! She chose Resene Chilean Fire as a wee homage to its era and to inject a wow factor into the room as they inherited a house which is very cream.

Combined with the dining room chairs, the other furniture and lampshade, the space is fab. The whole family spends a lot of time in this space. The walls are finished with Resene SpaceCote Low Sheen at the recommendation of their local Resene ColorShop, which works well with four children in the house as it's easy to wipe it clean.

Colour has also been used well in one of the daughters' bedrooms. She wanted a soft vintage feel to her room so it's been painted in Resene Tusk and the desk, found at a garage sale, has been painted in Resene Prelude.
