If you’re looking for some inspo for your home spaces, choosing colours or wanting to do a mini make over, here are a few ideas on how to get started.
Use your own experiences and favourite things as a place to start; that way your spaces will be uniquely yours and reflect who you are and your own style. Often your fashion style comes through in your choices for homewares, so this can be a great place to start. If you are looking for colour inspiration, try flicking through your travel pics to see if the places and spaces you have visited inspire your colour choices. These three spaces have all been inspired by my recent travels and then developed to incorporate the Karen Walker palettes from Resene paints.
This space was inspired by my recent trip to Morocco with the chalky pink walls of Marrakesh, the rooftop views and at how amazing the plants looked against this backdrop. Staying in amazing spaces such as El Fenn, a boutique hotel with impeccable style and experiencing the famous high tea at Sketch in London were also great inspirations to the finer elects of this space.

While riding through the streets of Amsterdam I fell in love with the aesthetic of the city, the people and their love for indoor plants. Every space and store was inspiring and full of greenery - none less than Wildernes, an urban plant and garden shop. I love how plants bring a space to life and how a modern take on the conservatory can be incorporated into the home.

When you are from a country surrounded by water it is hard not to be influenced by it. This space and colour palette is the result of the intensity of stormy evening beach walks in Mangawhai Heads. Nothing goes past a deep inky blue wall, mixed with wood tones and warm metallics to create a moody and inviting living space.
