Illustrative designs that look like they have been lifted from the pages of a plant encyclopaedia, lush sprays of palm fronds, banana plants, woodland scenes and lines of ivy appear to weave through walls. Botanicals have always been popular in wallpaper design and can be used seamlessly in everything from heritage homes to contemporary new builds. The Victorians’ love of fern collecting is reflected in designs of the era. Fast forward more than a century, and the houseplant craze has seen us amassing shelves full of vegetation paired with lush leafy wallpaper designs. Being surrounded by nature is calming and bringing a little greenery into your home will help to ground your interior design while lifting your spirits.
