Project ideas and inspiration from Good magazine
Use some paint and a little imagination to revamp your outdoor room.
Start by giving your outdoor area a thorough waterblast. If mould is an issue, spray Resene Moss & Mould Killer onto affected areas. Resene Moss & Mould Killer is a hypochlorite based wash that can kill and bleach most common moulds and fungi. Wear protective clothing while using and allow 48 hours after application before vigorously scrubbing or waterblasting surfaces with water.
Resene Concrete Primer is designed to make concrete and similar surfaces ready for topcoating. Apply one to two coats allowing at least two hours between coats and 24 hours for the product to cure.
Use a large paintbrush and/or roller to topcoat with Resene Lumbersider waterborne low sheen in a colour of your choice. I used Resene Timekeeper.
Use water, detergent, such as Resene Paint Prep and Housewash, and a small brush, to clean any dust and contaminants from the furniture.
Cover all surfaces (including the underneath) with two good coats of paint. You will need to use plenty of paint and dab the cane with the paintbrush to ensure full coverage. It’s best to use old brushes to do this. Allow to fully dry.
