Transform an old corner unit into a chic display case with a little bit of help from Resene.
Fun with furniture with Mark Rayner - Project 31
Difficulty level: Moderate
You will need: a clean cloth, hammer, old wooden corner unit, paintbrush, Resene Mineral Turpentine, Resene Paint Pot, pliers and sandpaper. Resene Enamel Undercoat, Resene Super Gloss enamel tinted to Resene Double Alabaster.
To get the look: Mark painted the background wall with Resene SpaceCote Flat tinted to Resene Quarter Cararra.
Other ideas: for a rich glossy black finish use Resene Super Gloss tinted to Resene Black.
Wipe off any sanding residue with a clean cloth.
Apply a second coat of Resene Double Alabaster to all surfaces of the unit and allow paint to dry for 16 hours. Wash brush using Resene Mineral Turpentine.
