Faux lacquered plant stand

It’s easy to create a sleek black lacquered effect using Resene Enamacryl gloss.

Fun with furniture with Mark Rayner - Project 02

Difficulty level: Easy

You will need: an old wooden varnished plant stand, a clean cloth, an old knife, paintbrush, sandpaper and wood filler. Resene Waterborne Smooth Surface Sealer and Resene Enamacryl gloss waterborne enamel tinted to Resene All Black.

To get the look: Mark painted the background woodwork with Resene Enamacryl tinted to Resene Alabaster.
