Background to mural creation:
Takitimu Primary School had a tennis/netball shed that was being vandalised, so decided to get the entire school involved in a project where the children could create a bright and interesting area for themselves to be proud of and hopefully to deter vandals. Under the guidance of signwriter and school caretaker Diane O'Leary, the result is a mural with a theme of 'let's watch the game'. The mural is made up of 160 faces with every pupil painting at least one each.
