Background to mural creation:
Glenholme Primary School in Rotorua has a beautiful new mural
featuring fern fronds to symbolise 'New Growth'. Helen Weblin,
the mural creator, became aware of the bare wall and designed
the mural after her son Ben started at the school.
The school is culturally diverse and it was important to design something that would appeal to a wide range of people.
Helen has been painting for the past four years, exclusively using Resene paints as she enjoys the colour range, mainly using acrylics on canvas. This was the first mural Helen has ever attempted with Amanda providing assistance in the painting portion of the project.
