Accessible to public:
Favourite memories, highlights and best bits of Meadowbank Primary School.
Background to mural creation:
Every student created an individual design of their favourite memories and highlights of Meadowbank Primary School. These were put together and looked through to come up with themes of the most popular ideas to be in the final mural. The finished design includes: cricket, year 6 camp, waterwise/sailing and kayaking with Rangitoto as a backdrop, music and singing/senior choir, summer days reading under the Pohutukawa trees, Rugby World Cup, 100 years Centenary of Meadowbank Primary School, 100 year Centenary of Anzac Day, Kereru in the gully and Year 6 trip to Glen Innes Spit to see the godwit birds.
Every child who painted left a handprint and a fingerprint on the painted tree to sign the painting and leave a piece of themselves at Meadowbank Primary School.
