Background to mural creation:
Our current students could not see themselves in our current school murals (all created a number of years ago). We designed a unit for the students to explore the concepts of culture and identity, then to design and execute murals that celebrate the cultural diversity of their school community. The seven classes then created six murals which are displayed around the school environment.
