Background to mural creation:
Year 8 students create a mural each year as a parting gift to the students who remain. There were some old shade cloth poles left in the senior playground that were screaming out for a makeover. The students investigated totem pole symbols and meanings then translated symbols into geometric animal symbols, which were painted onto the poles.
