Mural theme:
Environmental theme showing the four class areas of children at the school ñ ferns, punga, kowhai and kauri, along with creatures found in Marlborough.

Background to mural creation:
The mural was created to give some of the schoolís talented artists the opportunity to work with an artist (Meike Hillhorst) and learn the painting technique to create a textured work. The wall the mural was created for was bare and many children walk past it every day. Meike Hillhorst designed the wooden pieces that make up the mural but all artwork done on the wooden shapes is the work of the children.
