Resene Weekend Transformation Awards 2025

Calling all weekend painters, decorators and upcyclers!

It’s amazing just how transformative a weekend DIY project can be. It may only be a day or two of painting or decorating but the impact can be remarkable. If you’ve recently made over a room by painting it, tackled something outside, or done a clever paint-led project on a piece of furniture or anything else using a Resene product we’d love to see it. Send us some images and tell us a little about your project, and be in to win $250 in cash and a feature in the magazine for each of the five best projects. So, what can you do in a weekend?

Get your entry in as soon as possible and you could be one of our finalists!

What we're looking for:

Creative and imaginative ideas
Great examples of upcycled projects
Confident use of colour and/or pattern
Exciting use of Resene wallpaper

How to enter

Email photos and a 200 plus-word description of your transformation project to yhg@aremedia.co.nz with your last name and ‘Resene Weekend Transformation’ in the subject line. Please include your name, address, email address, daytime phone number, the names of the Resene colours used, and details of when your project was painted and/or wallpapered. Please credit anyone who assisted you in choosing your colours. The top five projects will each appear in Your Home and Garden magazine from March 2025 to July 2025 and receive $250 cash.

TERMS & CONDITIONS Instructions on how to enter are part of the conditions of entry. This competition is open to New Zealand residents, except employees of Are Media, Resene and their immediate families and agencies. The five winners will be notified by telephone and/or email. All entries are eligible for consideration for the Resene website. Any non-finalists selected for the Resene website will receive a free gift from Resene.
