Paint your town red (or blue, green, yellow)

Colour Your Community is a campaign inviting members and community organisations to submit a few words about an area in their community that needs a makeover. The initiative offers six prizes of up $1000 worth of Resene paints, wood stains and accessories.

Applications could include paint and product for a new community mural, a graffiti clean-up, a plain toilet block in need of some attention, a local playground paint job or even a neighbour in need with a fence or shed that needs a tidy.

Participants can apply on behalf of an organisation, business or for a community or individual project. Five winning entries will be selected by a Neighbourly and Resene panel with a further handful picked as finalists for the People's Choice Award. Neighbourly members will be invited to vote for their favourite entry in the People’s Choice Award.

Resene is always on the lookout for ways to brighten and transform our communities. Colour Your Community is a great way for us to support bringing out the brightest and best in neighbourhoods that need it. Many projects just need a helping hand - a colourful touch-up and a little imagination - to be transformed into something the community can be proud of.

Nominations can be made using the Colour Your Community category on Neighbourly. Members are encouraged to share as much as they can about the area that needs support from Resene including background information, why the location needs some colour, how winning would benefit the organisation or area - and to include a photo or two.
