It’s easy to create your very own door plaque with the help of a few Resene testpots.

Resene kids art with Mark Rayner - Project 23

Difficulty level: Moderate

You will need: Artists’ brush, Butterfly magnet, Flower stickers, Paintbrush, Piece of cardboard, PVA glue, Resene Quick Dry waterborne primer undercoat, Resene testpots in the following colours: Resene Shocking and Resene Seance

Top tip: Thick corrugated cardboard is best as it won’t curl when you paint it.

Here's another idea: Make a bathroom door plaque using Resene Curious Blue, Resene Niagara and Resene Space Cadet.

Door plaque - Bathroom Another idea: Bathroom!

Step 1
Step one
Prime the piece of cardboard with one coat of Resene Quick Dry. Allow to dry.
Step 2
Step two
Paint the piece of cardboard with two coats of Resene Shocking – allow at least two hours to dry between coats.
Step 3
Step three
Using the artists’ brush, paint lettering on your door plaque using Resene Seance. Allow to dry.
Step 4
Step four
Decorate your plaque with flower stickers and fix the butterfly magnet into position using PVA glue. Once dry, attach the plaque to your bedroom door.
