Video conferencing facilities
Ever wondered what colours would be suitable for video conferencing facilities? This is just one of the many queries that Resene receives via its online help service.
The best décor for video conferencing is basic – keep it plain and simple and avoid clutter in the camera view. This is because patterns, objects such as plants, artwork and so on take up vast amounts of processing capacity affecting efficiency and quality. Aim for a neutral wall colour (not white), such as beige, light blues or light greys. If you want to add some interest to the room for those in the meeting or perhaps a plant or two to relieve monotony, add these out of the camera’s view so that those in the room can see and appreciate them, but the camera and those at the other end of the video conferencing cannot.
