Ming Palace Chinese restaurant

A feast for the senses awaits the eager diner through the blend of a striking dining atmosphere with a taste bud stimulating menu.

Ming Palace Chinese Restaurant

Like a combination fried rice, the Ming Palace Chinese Restaurant in Ghuznee Street, Wellington has just the right delectable combination of colours to stimulate the eyes and the appetite. Undergoing a complete interior and exterior re-fit, numerous existing and new substrates required coating during the redecoration process.

The exterior palette includes a sumptuous feast of Resene acrylic paint systems tinted to Resene Eternity (almost black), Resene Mallard (deep green), Resene Midnight Moss (dark green), Resene Lusty (bold blue red), Resene Kenyan Copper (rust brown), Resene Moccaccino (warm brown) and Resene Pumpkin (brown orange).

The interior banquet of colours is equally bold, striking and surprising. Resene Lusta-Glo semi-gloss enamel tinted to Resene Aubergine (deep purple) adorns the main bar feature area complemented by wine shelves finished in Resene Super Gloss Enamel tinted to Resene Fire (rusty orange). The lobby has also been treated to Resene Lusta-Glo but in a different hue of Resene Tiara (silver grey). To top off the bold colour collection, ceiling areas have been finished in Resene Zylone 20 tinted to Resene Abbey (warm mid grey) creating a subdued yet cosy canopy.

Even the toilet area has been treated to a unique paint system and colour ensemble, including Resene Lusta-Glo tinted to Resene Rob Roy (dark camel), and Resene Zylone 20 flat acrylic tinted to Resene Bourbon (orange brown) and Resene Salt Box (dark purple grey). The tough, durable Lusta-Glo finish, designed for easy cleaning, is beautifully offset by the suede like finish of the ceiling.

A feast for the senses awaits the eager diner through the blend of a striking dining atmosphere with a taste bud stimulating menu.
