Surface preparation

All surfaces

Clean the surface thoroughly to remove all dirt, dust and loose material. Ensure the surface is free from oil, grease and mould. If moss and mould are present, treat with Resene Moss & Mould Killer (see Data Sheet D80). Remove nicotine with Resene Heavy Duty Paint Prep and Oil Remover (see Data Sheet D816).

Sand old glossy surfaces to provide a key for subsequent coats. Remove sanding dust. Seal bare substrates as required.

Refer to Resene Surface Information Preparation Data Sheets (SIPDS), available online at www.resene.com/datasheets, for full substrate specific surface preparation information.

All sanding dusts can be harmful. Always wear appropriate protection.

Seek expert advice if working with lead, chromate or asbestos based materials or surfaces.
