Paint a pet

Mark Rayner's quirky project for children (and adults) will add some fun to your garden.

You will need:

Here's another idea: Create a selection of crazy pet rock characters using your favourite Resene Testpot colours or leftover paint from other projects.

As seen in kiwigardener

Step 1 Step one
Make sure the rock is thoroughly clean before applying one coat of Resene Art Action Quick Dry. Allow two hours to dry.
Step 2 Step two
Apply two coats of Resene Fizz to the rock, allowing two hours for each coat to dry.
Step 3 Step three
Paint two eye shapes with Resene Alabaster, an open mouth with Resene Nero and a tongue with Resene Lilac Bush.
Step 4 Step four
Once dry, paint the centre of the eyes with Resene Wet N Wild and the teeth with Resene Alabaster.
Step 5 Step five
Paint the hair with Resene Grass Stain.
Step 6 Step six
Paint the lips with Resene Clowning Around.
Step 7 Step seven
Paint each eye's pupil and eyelashes with Resene Nero, and when dry, paint a highlight in each eye with a dot of Resene Alabaster.
Step 8 Step eight
Once all the paint is completely dry, apply one coat of Resene Art Action glaze and allow to dry for two hours.
