To get the look: Terracotta pots and pebble mulch are available from Mitre 10 Mega.

Step 1 Step one
Following the manufacturer's instructions, seal the inside of the larger terracotta pots with Resene Terracotta Sealer. Allow to dry.
Step 2 Step two
Lightly sand the timber seat with sandpaper to remove any splinters or rough edges.
Step 3 Step three
Prime the timber seat with one coat of Resene Quick Dry Acrylic Primer Undercoat. Allow to dry.
Step 4 Step four
Paint the timber seat with two coats of Resene Niagara. Allow to dry.
Step 5 Step five
Paint the rear wall of the courtyard with two coats of Resene Oyster Bay. Allow to dry.
Step 6 Step six
Turn one of the smaller terracotta pots upside down and position the larger terracotta pot beside it, as shown. Fill larger pot with potting mix.
Step 7 Step seven
Repeat with the other two pots and rest the timber seat between, as shown.
Step 8 Step eight
Plant the centre of each pot with an Aloe bainseii and surround with smaller growing sedums and succulents. Finish off with a smooth pebble mulch.
