“My inspiration came from ‘The Hunger Games’. In this film, the main character uses an arrow to shoot the apple out of the pig’s mouth which symbolises her deep feelings of adrenalin and anger towards a certain group of people. ‘Adrenalin’ and anger is what drives her to execute the shot perfectly. By this action she becomes the centre of attention which is what Resene Adrenalin represents in the boldness of its colour and the way it is eye-catching and stands out to the audience. I wanted to capture the essence of the symbolism and representation this colour has on its audience.

As the main character was known as the girl on fire, I have related it back to my design concept with my two-piece set. For the top, it is a one shoulder piece in the shape of a flame to incorporate my theme of fire. The top also contains ties in the side seam to show the illusion of a hole in relation to fire burning the sides out. The trousers are floor length with a flared bottom to take it back to the theme of fire as fire has a lot of movement when it gets out of control. It also looks like the fire is following the wearer.”
