Resene Harmony

“As the line becomes invisible, the different between women and men are visible.

We are told women/men are supposed to dress and act a certain way, and when we don’t we disobey.

Partly male and female in appearance, but when did we need your clearance?

Whispers shared, and we never cared.

For you are the one talking, so we will gladly keep walking.

With our head held high as we say goodbye.

Harmony is a shade of undercoat between masculine and feminine.  A balance of both and a feeling of unity between the two genders.

Frida Kahlo was a representation of an ‘Unapologetic Women’, a great example of someone who challenged the norms of masculinity and femininity, wearing a dress one day and the next a tailored suit.  Frida saw her clothing as an extension of her art and a way to tell stories.  She created art that was both feminine, masculine and controversial.

As Frida would say “At the end of the day, we can endure much more than we think we can.” A quality of forming a pleasing and consistent whole.  The perfect balance of Harmony.”
