“The rationality behind my look is based around forgotten bush cabins.
I find it interesting how the vines twist, turn and weave around forgotten buildings almost blanketing it in a way of securing it to the earth for fear of collapsing. In today’s world, this is truly relevant for many of us, that fear of collapsing and feeling a need for something or someone to blanket and secure us to the earth.
The colour I was given was Resene Good To Go. I always feel good to go to the bush, as it is my place of quiet.
I love the smells, the colours, the way the bush makes me feel relaxed. It is also a place I enjoy going to with my children as I have many happy memories from my own childhood of going to the bush with my dad. We did this regularly. I enjoyed exploring old cabins that were hidden behind the thick vines now occupied by insects and birdlife. It was like the bush was reclaiming or even repurposing it back to the earth.”
