This new home, designed for family living, is clad with a LiteRock Solid Plaster System from Rockcote Architectural Coatings.
Few of us would choose to spend our spare time maintaining our homes. Most of us would rather be out and about, participating in our favourite leisure pursuits. With Rockcote Architectural Coatings, durability and low maintenance are two big advantages for homeowners who don't want to spend their weekends involved in DIY duties.
Rockcote Architectural Coatings offers a range of plaster cladding systems designed to keep your home looking new, even in New Zealand's harsh climatic conditions such as salt-laden winds, snow, rain and scorching sun.
The home featured here was designed by Christchurch architect John Davey. It was constructed using award-winning Superform polystyrene building blocks, solid-filled with concrete then clad in Rockcote's LiteRock Solid Plaster System. To achieve a crack-resistant, soft-patina effect, the system is finished with a pre-coloured polymer render and a top layer of Finecoat.
LiteRock is a composite exterior cladding that is both lightweight and strong, says Rockcote's Auckland manager, Mike Olds.
"This modified solid plaster is reinforced with mesh and has a weather-protected base, making it a very heavy-duty cladding," he says.
LiteRock is available in all colours in the Resene Total Colour System with many different texture options. It can be used over a range of construction systems and incorporates uPVC window jamb and sill flashings to prevent water penetration.
Rockcote licenses approved applicators to ensure professional service and correct installation of its products. It also offers a 15-year performance warranty and a five-year workmanship guarantee.
Architect John Davey has designed this home with wide eaves to protect the wall surfaces from the weather. |
Shade sails on the upper decks also offer protection from the harsh summer sun and can be removed in the winter when the sun is less strong. |
