Work in progress

The Gregory family moved into their 15 year old home, which was desperately in need of a totally new coat of paint throughout the whole interior of the house. After many long nights on the Resene EzyPaint virtual painting programme trying out different colour schemes they finally agreed on some colours. 

The master bedroom is Resene Zylone Sheen tinted to Resene Tea on three of the walls, with a feature wall in Resene Lustacryl semi-gloss tinted to Resene Plum to make the finish stand out from the other walls.
 
Their four year old daughter’s room is painted with two walls in Resene SpaceCote Low Sheen tinted to Resene Rouge and the remaining two walls in Resene Sherbert. The colours matched in perfectly with an existing quilt cover.
 
Their seven year old son’s room is painted with Resene SpaceCote Low Sheen tinted to Resene Astronaut, a strong dark blue they hope will see him through to his teenage years!
 
With a long hallway with the front door at one end and the door to the open-plan family room at the other end, they decided on the pale neutral tone Resene Half Rakaia. This colour has been continued through into the open-plan part of the house with a feature wall in Resene Gravel planned to link the dining and family rooms together. This is the next step of the painting project!
 
All the skirting boards, door and window frames and doors have been painted in Resene Lustacryl semi-gloss tinted to Resene White Pointer, which they have found is a perfect off-white to match with the pale grey of Resene Half Rakaia.
 
The painting is a work in progress. So far four bedrooms and the hallway are complete. Thrilled with the results so far, they can't wait to get the rest of the interior painted.
