In a recent summer, instead of a holiday, Jane and her husband decided that the jobs on their house that they were putting off could wait no longer. They live in a relocated cottage on a farm in Glentunnel and after vacuuming up part of a windowsill when cleaning realised those external areas of rot wouldn’t survive another winter. The first part of their project was to remove rotten weatherboards. They have replaced them in nearly a third of the house and still haven’t started the front. As the weatherboards go up they have been primed with Resene TimberLock, then once up, undercoated with Resene Quick Dry waterborne primer undercoat. It took them a long time to decide a colour scheme but they settled on Resene Tea on the weatherboards and Resene Dynamite on the detail on and around the windows and doors.
