Last year the Treacy family built a large home, incorporating
two bed and breakfast rooms, overlooking a freshwater lake.
Surrounded by rural views and the everchanging moods of their
lake and the hills, they wanted their colour scheme to reflect
those moods and the planned gardens. While it was suggested that
she use creams and magnolias, Judith was determined that neutrals
were not for her.
She selected Resene Echo Blue for two bedrooms, which will reflect
the lavender and blues from the garden, and Resene Neptune for
one bedroom and the main bathroom (with French tub) for an underwater
feel. The large foyer, hall, living room and dining area were
finished in Resene Hathaway. The fourth bedroom, sitting room
and breakfast room are finished in Resene Ashanti, a delightful
soothing shade.

And her husband who wanted to play it safe with neutrals? He's
amazed how each room runs beautifully into the next and the suggestion
of neutrals has melted away.
Thanks to Judith Treacy of Northland.
