Dianne and Chris had a heritage theme top of mind when they established
the Hokitika Heritage Lodge in 2004. The three guest rooms in
the lodge are themed and named Gold, Jade and Heritage, with Resene
colours used to reflect and complement those names.
The Gold room is painted in Resene Zylone Sheen tinted to Resene
Chandelier and Resene SpaceCote Low Sheen tinted to Resene Papier
Mache. The Jade room is finished in Resene SpaceCote Low Sheen
tinted to Resene Deep Teal, while the Heritage room is painted
in Resene SpaceCote Low Sheen tinted to Resene Kingfisher Blue
and Resene Double Pearl Lusta.

To provide a rich warm dining experience, the dining room has
been painted in Resene Lumbersider tinted to Resene Merlot and
this colour has been carried through into the entrance to provide
a warm welcoming feel on entry. The kitchen began with Dianne wanting
classic blue and white. An English country garden tile picture,
fitting the heritage theme, was used as a splashback behind the
cooking hob complemented by Resene SpaceCote Low Sheen tinted
to Resene Lemon Grass on the walls. The colour sets off the white
cabinetry and complements the tiles and benchtop.
Woodwork in Resene Lustacryl tinted to Resene Pearl Lusta and
Resene Zylone Sheen tinted to Resene Popcorn completes the interior
colour palette on the hall and stairwell, providing a restful
neutral linking colour that feeds into the bolder colours used
in the home.
