Inner change
An old brick farmhouse has enjoyed a complete interior revamp with just two bedrooms remaining the same dimensions.

One wall in the kitchen was knocked out to the exterior and replaced windows and doors before repainting that area in Resene Tusk. A laundry is now cleverly hidden behind bi-fold doors.

The lounge had a sunroom at one end, quickly removed to extend the lounge and dining area. The old fire surround was pulled out and a false wall installed. With the building work complete two lounge walls were painted in Resene Dynamite working well with other walls of Resene Quarter Spanish White and trims and ceilings in white. An old cabinet purchased at auction was rejuvenated using a distressed paint effect technique and Resene Wasabi.

The main bedroom was stripped back and replastered, then a feature wall behind the bedhead painted in black to complement the black stained window joinery. The second bedroom enjoyed the same treatment with a Resene Ship Cove wall in place of the black.

The exterior, once red brick, is now a neutral tone specially blended by Resene for the project joined by Resene Panda on the roof and trims. Beading was installed on all windows to blend them in to the finish of the French doors.
