Moving to a colonial villa in need of a paint job, the Clausen family wanted to create a look that would be unique without detracting from the style and era of their home.

Inside high ceilings make the home feel airy and spacious. Keen to retain this atmosphere, they selected Resene Marzipan to brighten the area while retaining the softness and spaciousness.

Their daughters chose their own room colour schemes, Resene Blackcurrant and Resene Lipstick, using Resene EzyPaint and then tested out their choices using Resene testpots. Their contemporary colour choices are well matched to their personalities.

The office is now finished in Resene Bondi Blue, the sitting room in Resene Lusty and the kitchen and dining room in Resene Flamenco.

Outside durability and developing an eye-catching colour scheme were key considerations. They finally decided on a combination of Resene Lynch, Resene Blue Charcoal, Resene Beeswax and features of Resene Raspberry on doors and have since received many positive comments and seen their colour scheme recreated at family member's homes who have taken an extra shine to the finish.
