Chic, cool and fresh were the very words Tanya used to describe the look she wanted to create in the master bedroom. Keen to use colours that would be fresh and cool in summer without being 'too in your face', the Davis family selected the duo of Resene Alabaster and Resene Drought. Both popular neutrals, they provide the perfect backdrop for accessorising.

The perfect duvet cover to match the new paint finish was found at Farmers and the vase and fur throw at Freedom Furniture. Tanya's husband made the mirror from leftover baby corrugated iron combined with a cheap mirror bought from Briscoes - a stunning feature for the very low price of about $50.

Chic, cool and fresh is what Tanya wanted and by sticking to her plan, that's exactly what has been achieved.
