Budget makeover
With a very limited budget for renovations, they took advantage of a Resene sale and bought enough paint to cover the entire house. They chose colours to brighten but also complement their possessions so they wouldn't have to buy anything else. Six months later all the paint was finally been applied leaving a bright welcoming house that suits them both perfectly.
Resene Half Dutch White was selected for its soft smooth look as the cream base used throughout the house. The bedroom was finished with a feature wall of Resene Pohutukawa to give it a gothic romantic feel. Pete's study has a feature wall of Resene Tarawera expanding the perceived room size, while Tracy's study is painted in Resene Portland for a sophisticated look. The toilet finished in bold Resene Hero is funky and bright and the small bathroom in Resene Wellywood has transformed a boring and small bathroom into a fun place to be. To tie this bold palette of colours together, Resene Half Dutch White
features in the hallway, also acting as an ideal gallery space for Tracy's
black and white photo collection. Just to finish the home off, the living
room has a feature wall of Resene Galactica to complement the open plan
kitchen in the warm hue of Resene Saffron.
