Bold corners

The walls have been painted Resene Alabaster as the base colour and then the two triangle patterns are painted in Resene Hyperactive and Resene Niagara.

The orange triangle was painted first.  They decided that it looked so good that they would paint the other wall with the Resene Niagara to make the egg chair stand out more and to balance the room with the orange triangle.  The colours in the duvet inspired the paint colour choices.

The room has sort of been divided into two parts - the orange part of the room is to reflect their daughter’s outgoing, fun loving personality, while the blue/green is to reflect her love of reading and studying.

Behind the wardrobe doors are a beloved book and Harry Potter collection beautifully displayed within the wardrobe.  With these being behind the doors, the room stays clutter free and lets the triangles be the hero of the room.

This is probably the most adventurous the Coulson’s have ever been with paint and they absolutely love it!
