Mural Masterpieces - Lake Whakamaru Christian Youth Camp

Location:
Lake Whakamaru Christian Youth Camp, RD 1, Mangakino. The mural is situated along a much used walkway in the middle of the main sleeping facilities.

Background to mural creation:
This Christian camp specialises in catering for youth, yet was devoid of bright colour. As a leader Alison felt this needed to be remedied to make the camp more stimulating for youth. To emphasise the camp's Christian background she also chose to incorporate a simple Christian message using the bold simple colours to make it easy for the children to read and understand.
