From the Resene/Your Home and Garden Colour Home Awards Competition - Oct 2002 finalist

A luscious confection of pink-on-pink solved Jeanette Troon's dilemma of how best to decorate her daughter's bedroom. Her vision and hard work has won her $500 in Resene paint vouchers as this month's competition winner.

The Resene colours Resene Royal Heath and the lighter Resene Classic Rose gave Jeanette Troon of Wellington just the right combination of pinks for this magical transformation to the bedroom of her seven-year-old daughter Freya Milner.

The large villa bedroom has previously been painted a bland 'cream on cream'. Jeannette opted for the popular raspberry shade on the feature wall and the duvet cover helped provide a tonal balance of blues and purples. Known locally as the 'Queen of the Testpots', she put those to good use to adorn accessories such as the fairy dream drawers by the bed. Jeanette finished the room with curtains made from shot pink and gold fabric.
