Resene Thixalon 5 - high build finish
Resene Thixalon 5 is a semi-gloss waterborne waterproofing membrane, with superior small void and crack filling properties, designed for thick application over concrete surfaces. It may be applied at very high thicknesses without sagging or film cracking. Resene Thixalon 5 may be applied with a goop loop roller to achieve a high textured finish, with a standard roller for a less textured finish or by spray. With Resene Thixalon 5 you get the dual benefits of texture and waterproofing in one one product combined with better washability and reduced dirt pickup compared to elastomeric coatings.

Resene Thixalon 5 is perfect on concrete, blockwork, fibre cement sheeting, solid plaster and on cracked substrates where waterproofing is required. Brushed into small cracks it will prevent moisture entering the damaged substrate.

Resene Thixalon 5 is available in Resene Total Colour System white and pastel tone colours. Other colours may be made for orders larger than 200 litres.

Specifying tips:
In all cases, a standard panel should first be prepared by the applicator and approved by clients/specifiers. This standard should be used to ensure the texture achieved is to the agreed panel.

Resene Limelock (see Data Sheet D809) is a preparatory coating designed to cure and seal cementitious surfaces by retaining moisture necessary to achieve cure and trapping free lime, minimising downtime between the completion of plastering and commencement of painting.
