Resene kids art with Mark Rayner - Project 77

Difficulty level: Easy

You will need: Cotton thread, Paintbrush, Piece of thick cardboard, Resene Quick Dry waterborne primer undercoat, Resene Testpots of Resene Bright Spark, Resene Hi Jinx and Resene Snap, Scissors

Top tip: To make wider wiggles use lengths of string or thick wool.

Here's another idea: This unique ‘snail trail’ masterpiece was created using Resene Curious Blue, Resene Get Reddy and Resene Neva.

Step 1
Step one
Paint the cardboard with one coat of Resene Quick Dry and allow to dry for two hours.
Step 2

Paint the cardboard with two coats of Resene Snap, allowing two hours for each coat to dry
Step 3
Step three
Cut a piece of thread approximately 50cm long and carefully dip it into the testpot of Resene Bright Spark. Carefully pull the thread out of the testpot and lay it onto the cardboard in a curly pattern, as shown. Repeat until you have five or six of these ‘snail trails’.

Repeat step three using Resene Hi Jinx and allow the paint two hours to dry. What a wiggly work of art!
