Resene kids art with Mark Rayner - Project 17

Difficulty level: Moderate

You will need: Paintbrush, Resene Quick Dry Acrylic Primer Undercoat, Small wooden box, Resene testpots in the following colours: Resene Blue Bell, Resene Havoc and Resene Lavender

Top tip: Inexpensive wooden boxes like this can be bought at craft shops.

Here's another idea: Use Art Action Metallics to create a different effect – here we used Resene Time Warp and Resene Nitro.

Step 1
Step one
Prime the wooden box with one coat of Resene Quick Dry Acrylic Primer Undercoat. Allow to dry.
Step 2
Step two
Paint the front, back, side and top panels with two coats of Resene Lavender – allow at least two hours to dry between coats.
Step 3
Step three
Paint the inside of the box and outer edges with two coats of Resene Blue Bell – allow at least two hours to dry between coats.
Step 4
Step four
Paint the top heart and side letters with two coats of Resene Havoc – allow at least two hours to dry between coats. Once it’s dry, use your box to store all your secret stuff.
